Scottish Play Progress

October 20, 2006

So far, our group has made good progress. We have assigned parts and we have split up into groups for each scene. We have been working on memorizing our lines and making stage directions. We decided who will do what for the promptbook. We work very well together.

Outside Reading–1st post

The book I chose was Mayflower, a Story of Courage, Community, and War by Nathaniel Philbrick. I have always thought the First Thanksgiving was an interesting story, and have always enjoyed reading about it and seeing other peoples’ interpretation of it. Last year I was very surprised to find out that there were people who disagreed with the old story and thought it was just a nice story based on a few facts. Some people think that the Pilgrims were a nasty, agressive group of people, and they really didn’t get along with the Indians. As much as I want to believe the traditional story, I would like to know the facts of what really happened. I hope reading this book will answer my questions.
